Interactive agency Gents visually revamps one of Belgium’s leading summer festivals: Lokerse Feesten. The aim was to create a mobile- & music-first rebranding to kickstart the festival’s 44th season.
Since 1975 the Lokeren-based festival has welcomed thousands of local and international artists and visitors. Gents captures the strong atmosphere of the festival in a vibrant visual identity, using a poppy & playful design to visualise music vibes and share festival information.
Gents looked at ways to combine eye-catching colours with strong photography suited to a mobile-sized context. Inspired by the festival’s line-up and the bands’ instruments, a jack cable sets the tone throughout the entire branding, from logo design to website interface and social identity. The jack cable connects band news with festival information and online with offline touchpoints.
