#RIGHTTOCOLOR is an initiative for colorblind photographers which enables them to experience the diversity of the color spectrum.
There are 300 million people worldwide suffer from some degree of color blindness and this impacts their everyday life depending on the severity. While somebody with normal vision can identify 150 hues, a color-blind aspirant can distinguish only as many as 20 hues.
Colors are an integral part of photography but colorblind photographers only wish to see their photographs as the world sees them. Panasonic created a specially designed viewfinder that saturates and balances hues, helping a colorblind photographer to see the frame in rich vibrant colors before the shot is captured, subsequently boosting the confidence to capture the subject being photographed. This innovation has given these photographers sheer happiness and a feeling of connection to their work which they had never felt before. Bringing the gift of color, this technology is a testament to their dedication and passion.
