Malibu believes that summer is more than sunshine and tropical beaches. Summer is a feeling; it’s freedom, it’s social, it’s trying new things. Sadly, that feeling can be short-lived, particularly during the dark, winter months. That’s why this February, Malibu is bringing a slice of summer to residents of the least summery places, as part of its Summer Feels Tour.
Typically enduring 170 days of wet weather each year, Glasgow is the first stop on Malibu’s Summer Feels Tour which hopes to recreate the feeling of freedom that summer brings and transform party goers into their summer selves. Taking place on Friday 21st at Bananamoon, the party promises a night of summer for your senses.
Malibu’s ultimate summer cocktails will provide a welcomed taste of summer in mid-winter and that’s not all. From the feeling of warmth on your skin to the hottest tunes from DJ duo, the Weaver Brothers, who’ve played at summer’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party, this is one not to miss. Further stops on the Summer Feels Tour include Seyðisfjörður, Iceland whose residents are deprived of sunshine for four months of the year, and Winnipeg, Canada where temperatures reach a mind blowing -47c.
“Summer makes us feel like a different person; the person we love being the most. We are more social and more open to trying new things. It’s our mission to spread the spirit of summer everywhere we go. So, we decided to create the Summer Feels Tour to bring the feeling of summer to those who need it most. Overcoming Glasgow’s constant rain, Seyðisfjörður’s lack of sun and Winnipeg’s ice chilling temperatures, it wasn’t an easy task to pull-off but we hope it will keep them going ‘till summer!” Said Monica Jungbeck, Senior Global Marketing Manager at Malibu.
It doesn’t end there, Malibu are giving the rain-rich inhabitants of Glasgow, the sunshinedeprived Seyðisfjörður natives and the cold-hardy locals of Winnipeg a chance to win a trip to the Caribbean and participate in the Malibu Games 2020 event. Here’s how you can apply: https://mlbu.co/glasgow
