Apple's latest ad campaign takes on Android phones with a slew of short videos explicitly urging consumers to switch from Android to iOS.
The four new ads highlight select features of iOS that are supposedly better than what Android has ffer.
The idea behind the ads seems simple: make people switch from Android to iOS. Apple then decided to split its ad campaign into four videos that highlight the iPhone’s superiority over its competition. For example, their 'Apple Support' ad spot, showcases Apple’s customer service and how easy it is for customers.
Apple also loves to tout how eco-friendly their products are. In another video ad, Apples features who just carelessly litters after drinking a cup of coffee. He then gets a message that reads how the iPhone is “assembled at zero waste to landfill facilities.”
Apple's final ad spot about security shows a thief falling from the “Your Phone” section to the iPhone section. However, he fails in his attempt as Apple’s software won’t allow any sort of infiltration.
Arguably, this campaign strategy is being pursued because the iPhone X has experienced lower sales numbesr than expected. As such, it's understandable why Apple would tweak its ad campaign approach to adapt to the market.
